The Cast of The Exquisite Hour

We are so very pleased to be working with a tiny cast of two wonderful people: Nevada Yates Robart and Josue Laboucane. Nevada will be playing the lovely (and quirky)  ‘Helen Darimont’ Josue has been cast as confirmed bachelor ‘Zachary Teale’.

Nevada Yates Robart

Nevada is a Vancouver native and a graduate of the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria BC.  She is thrilled to be a part of the Relephant team making a comeback at the Vancouver Fringe Festival after 15 years. Yeah that’s right. The last time Nevada did the Fringe she was 12 years old in a play about the ownership of woman in the Middle East. No big deal. Some favorite past credits include: Bash (Xua Xua Productions), Off The Rails (Fort Steele Follies), The General of Hot Desire (CCPA), Hello Dolly (Chemainus Theatre), The Secret Garden (Gateway), Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding (Horse Raven).  Nevada would like to thank all of the wonderful teachers she has had in her life, especially the ones who encouraged her as a kid to do what she loves the most!

Josue Laboucane

Josue is an actor, teacher and director living in Vancouver.  This is his first adventure with the lovable Relephants and he hopes to have many, many more! Acting credits include Robin Hood, I Love You Forever and More Muncsh, the Hobbit, Silverwing (Carousel Theatre), The Emperor’s New Threads (Axis Theatre), The Boy Who Went Outside (Wild Excursions Performance)Revenge (Felix Culpa) and three seasons of Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival.  He has directed Gerty! Live and In Concert! at the BC Buds Festival, Confessions for Alley Theatre, and Letter from a Soldier at the Walking Fish Festival.  In addition to a love of all forms of theatre, Josue also loves to write, laugh, learn new things, and craft masks for the stage.  He is a past participant of the Canadian National Voice Intensive, and a graduate of both the Vancouver Film School and Studio 58.

We’re chomping at the bit to get into rehearsal and get started, but more on that later!
